A few days ago it was changed from hourly intervals to 30 minute
intervals. Good, except that (on my XP PC with IE at least) the
"step" button no longer works - the radar image just blanks out.

Anybody at the Met Office reading this?

Brian

Many thanks for all the advice. I didn't have this problem before they
changed to 30 minute intervals, so it's been triggered by something they
have changed.

1. Yes I am using IE on XP home SP1. However when I tried Opera it worked
just fine (although the Play and Stop buttons don't display correctly). So
it is apparently browser specific.

2. I have tried deleting temporary files, but that didn't make any
difference.

3. One oddity is that (with IE) if I hover over "show place names" then
move
back to the (blank) picture, it then displays.

I suspect that it may well be a Javascript issue.

The good news is that I have just installed Firefox, and it works
perfectly - although it has different ideas about the spacing of the
buttons
from other browsers. Don't you just love the consistent way that browsers
render HTML.

I am having exactly the same problems as you Brian even the hover over place
names and everything is fine bit. What is firefox ??
