I'll try that, John. *I uninstalled the CP2102 USB to UART Bridge
Controller from Device Manager , then disconnected the data logger.
When I reconnected the dater logger it was recognised as a USB device
(CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller) and installed itself, but could
find no drivers, even on the Weatherlink CD. so I'll download the
latest version from Davis. *And I've not installed any other drivers
recently, and yes it did just stop working. *I did expect the CP2102
to also be present in the Universal "Serial Bus Controllers" drop down
in Device Manager, but it is only in "Other Devices"

Updated to v5.8.3 - still the same, plug in the Weather Envoy, the
CP2102 device is recognised and asks for the drivers. I point it to
the folders where the drivers are, but still won't install. What a
pain. I give in !!
