My grass min has been disturbed every night for the last week
and this morning I picked it up several metres from its pegs. It
presumable catches the light and is an attraction to magpies or
perhaps pigeons. And this despite some minimal protection

Any ideas for more substantial protection without affecting the
readings?
Hi, Philip.
Y shaped stakes well into the ground, then elastic bands (or some
other tie) around sheathed thermometer and stakes. Bit of a fiddle
each morning, but it should work!
