* * *Against all odds.there was no measurable rainfall here in the
last week of June despite all the thundery activity in adjacent areas,
so my monthly total remains at 28mm, 34% of the long term average, and
only six 'rain days'

* * *Temperatures were 1.8c above the long term average, so a pleasant
month, only spoiled by expecting thunderstorms during the last week,
which didn't happen!

Roy, I am at Clitheroe Lancs, only a few miles from Stonyhust,
whose records I have going back to 1848 for rainfall and 1872 for
temperatures. Stonyhurst though is about 100ft higher in elevation,
so direct comparisons are a bit dubious.
