Default Rest of the summer

Latest Met Office forecast seems to be out, suggesting a continuation
of warm conditions though not particularly dry, with "average"
rainfall suggested. There is also a suggestion of the possibility
above average rainfall for some other parts of western Europe, but
Eastern Europe is notably dry. Reading between the lines this might
suggest more of a SSW-NNE low track, with lows initially further south
than normal (so maybe wetter in, say, central France and northern
Spain than typically). This could also, I guess, mean more storms than
normal here as lows on those sorts of tracks often drag up warm S
airmasses. It all suggests a turn-of-the-millennium type summer, warm
but changeable, like say 1999, 2001, 2002 or 2004. Does this sound
like a fair interpretation?
