Hi Nick,
Wind blew down a hanging basket last night. Fortunately a bit of tape has
repaired it well enough and plants amazingly were intact. Broad beans
survived the lashing rain but I had worked hard securing them. Much nicer
today with warm sunshine.

A bright, breezy start this morning which makes a change after the
gloom/drizzle/rain of the last two days.
14.8 mm of rain fell from between midday yesterday and midnight.
Just like last year's July, this month so far has seriously been lacking
in the sunshine department
July 1st - 12th
Min Max Mean Rain Sun
2008 11.6 19.1 15.4 90.8 56
2009 13.8 21.3 17.5 41.0 61
But, despite a similar unsettled weather regime, this July has been much
warmer and not as wet for the first 12 days.
(11:25), 18.4°C, RH 74%, DP 13.1°C, 1008 hPa (R), Wind 10 mph SW.
