Just a friendly question from a near founder member. What exactly is this
Dawlish thing about? Could someone spell it out for me because I seemed to
have missed it and it's getting on my nerves. Yes he does write long posts,
possibly he can be a bit arrogant and maybe I don't agree with everything he
says. But, he's not alone is he over the years and he seems to attract some
kind of collective abuse.
As I say, he must have done something really bad down the line that I
missed. The good thing and strength of this group, in my opinion, is that we
do get a few whacky people, or we all say something that is considered
controversial by someone, but they are either ignored or confronted but in
most cases forgiven.

* * * Yes, we get wacky ones such as Lawrie Jenkins and Weatherlawyer
who are both a bit barmy at times but are no problem. *But rude,
overbearing bullies who try to convince you they know a good deal more
than they do are more of a problem and I'm surprised and saddened that
the difference is not immediately apparent to you.

I must say I have admired his efforts against the screaming cacophony
of anti-AGW voices, especially the foul-mouthed abusive ones that seem
to pop up whenever Christainsen posts - it's difficult (for me,
anyway) not to respond to them in kind. About other matters I'd prefer
to forget the past, as I pushed my own luck too far.
