Desperately poor afternoon for 'high summer' here.
Earlier it rose to 17c and rather cloudy, last couple of hours have been
wet
and it's now fallen to 14c.
Wind F3-4 northerly, SLP 1018mb.
35th successive day without even 22c even being reached here.
What makes it all the more galling is that it's 27c and CAVOK at Manston.
So
near but yet so far..

Did today's temp break the sequence Jim? I notice Hurn made 22C+ this
afternoon, though the airport may be slightly warmer than your back
garden! It was a beautiful day in Dawlish.

Yes it did, Paul - last 3 days 22.4, 22.8, 23.0, first such temperatures
sunce 3 July
Best spell of weather for 5 weeks here, and not before time. Too late for
the garden really - after 5 weeks of wind and rain it still looks rather
sorry for itself.
