Default Autumn Storms: Model signal

Before we get into a slanging match about the inadequacies of our Northern
cousins ,could I make a plea for the summer weather to continue around Lyme
Regis during the first week of September ?.
Having decided to support our ailing economy by holidaying in England ,I
think the least the Dorset Tourist Board could do is to supply decent
weather !
By the way ,what is the attraction about 'the foot of our stairs '?,perhaps
its to view the remains of those despatched by the efforts of disgruntled
spouses who used to grease said stairs to precipitate the departure.of their
partners......

Definitely a Yorkshire phrase, but I suppose some mealy mouthed softie
southerners could have wormed a phrase or two out of us to add to
their own, less colourful, local lingos. *))
