I haven't seen a single flash of lightning this year yet. Not
only here in Haytor, but anywhere. When I mentioned this the
other day another person said, "you're lucky?". LUCKY!!!!! I
couldn't believe he said that :-(
Come on, please, just once ..... I have never ever gone a
whole year without seeing lightning.
Perhaps the gods think I get enough weather with regular snow
and rain each year :-)

I reckon it all moved north. According to MetO stats, thunder is
heard on three to four days in an average year here. We had a
week earlier in the summer with thunder and lightning every day,
and there was at least one other thunderstorm earlier on.
