Default Heavy rain in southern France

Heavy rain caused serious disruption to traffic and train services in the
French Basque country (SW France) on Friday.

According to Météo France, 267 mm rain fell in 24 hours in Bayonne (near
Biarritz) on Friday, including 147 mm between 13.00 and 16.00 local time.

In SE France, at the height of the storm between 20.00 and 23.00, rivers
overflowed and caused flooding in the Var department at Sainte-Maxime,
Fréjus and Montoroux.

At Berre-l'Etang near Marseille, a train was derailed by a mudslide, causing
slight injuries to 6 passengers
