Yes, but *I make sure I know where the sprinkler is when she waters the
garden these days!
To make sure , I cover the gauge with *a plate *on irrigation days.

Surely the rain gauge, on days when it is so dry the missus would have
to put a sprinkler on the garden, would read 0mm? Or does she not
believe your forecasting skills gents?
