Which reminded me, there was a gorgeous sunset yesterday - I had to
drive like a maniac 2 miles to Warsash to catch it properly and sadly
missed the best bit by a few minutes, when _all_ the clouds in shot

Otherwise, compared to yesterday, today was slightly disappointing,
there was too much cloud around for my liking. Yesterday was like
summer all over again.

Yes I know what you mean about the cloud, and about Monday and
Tuesday. Good demonstration of the effect of habituation of
temperature too: 17C can feel wintry in July yet positively summer
like in October or April. Would be happy for the high pressure
conditions to carry on as long as possible, at least until 25th
October where I suppose we've got to admit summer's ended once and for
all. Still not that long then till Feb and spring arguably begins down
here...

BTW I've seen the Purbecks from Bow Hill, above Chichester, before so
I guess that's about the limit.
