Incredibly dark morning
For some odd reason - perhaps someone will enlighten me - we
put the
clocks back approximately one month after the autumn equinox
but put
them forward more or less around the time of the spring
equinox.
This ensures that towards the end of October we get dark
mornings,
with sunrise times only about 30 minutes earlier than those at
the
winter solstice.
I don't know the reason, but I am very glad that that is the
case. I much prefer light afternoons/evenings and dark mornings
to lighter mornings and darkness in the afternoons.
I'd opt for double summer time all year round if I could.
