Depending on your definition of Manchester ... Manchester airport
recorded 33.7ºC on 2nd August 1990 (yes, 2nd). Previously 32.2ºC
at Prestwich on 9th August 1911.

On 5th July 1881 a maximum of 93ºF (33.9ºC) was recorded
at Ardwick, but I have no details of instrument/exposure ... it is
unlikely to have been a Stevenson screen at that date.
