That is strange, Colin. When I open the file
ftp://taurus.caf.dlr.de/put/wetterbilder/UK/image1.jpg
I get an image from the 7th October.
Oh...I have just tried putting that address in another browser. Now I get an
image from 0320 on the 18th November!
That's something I don't understand.

I think the date is right, Bernard. The DLR image looks the same to me
as
the one on your own site.

However, I take your point that the DLR link is only correct for a limited
time.
I posted the link to the DLR image yesterday (16th) because your own NOAA
19
image had a very strong blue cast which made the cloud distribution rather
difficult to see.
It was only through laziness that I did not change the link back to your
image this evening.
