: That is strange, Colin. When I open the file
: ftp://taurus.caf.dlr.de/put/wetterbilder/UK/image1.jpg
: I get an image from the 7th October.

I suppose the browser you were using here had the old October 7th image
stored in its cache.

: Oh...I have just tried putting that address in another browser. Now I get
an
: image from 0320 on the 18th November!

As you pointed out yourself, the DLR links are only valid temporarily.

ftp://taurus.caf.dlr.de/put/wetterbilder/UK/image1.jpg seems always to be
used for the most recent image on the DLR site. At present, that is the
03.09 image for today, 19th November.

ftp://taurus.caf.dlr.de/put/wetterbilder/UK/image2.jpg ("Image 2") is the
most recent but one image - at present the 10.51 image for 18th November.

The 03.20 image for 18th November which you saw yesterday is now "Image 3"
ftp://taurus.caf.dlr.de/put/wetterbilder/UK/image3.jpg .

The URLs which you use, each being unique to a particular image, are of
course much better.
