Quite sunny in the morning - brief cloudy spells as areas of medium-level
cloud moved across. Sunny and almost cloudless from midday until well into
the afternoon. Cloud increased again towards dusk and there was drizzle in
the air at times during the evening. Exceptionally mild with a moderate S
breeze.

Interesting to get such a combination of mostly sunny weather and
warmth this late in the year and only a month from the winter
solstice.

Brussels newspaper "Le Soir" - quoting the Belgian Royal Meteorological
Institute - notes that Saturday's max. temp. of 17.6°C is the highest on
record at Uccle in the last third of November. Previous highest during
this part of November has been 16.8°C on 3 occasions. Uccle's temperature
records go back to 1833.

Up to and including 19th, average temperature at Uccle so far this month is
9.5°C (average max. 12.1°C and average min. 7.0°C). These figures are,
respectively, 3.4, 3.2 and 3.5 deg C above the long-term average for
November as a whole.
