Default What's the record for successive days of rain?

Here in Carmarthenshire we've now reached 19 straight days on which rain
fell. *I suspect this is still a long way short of the record, but it seems
like ages since I was able to get out and do any serious work outside.

The reocrd here is 21 days, 1 - 21 April (of all months) 1998.
Recording started in 1983. I've no doubt this is some way short of a
UK record. One has to be careful with the definition of a rain-day.
The normal criterion is 0.2 mm but a day with 0.1 mm or "trace" can
still be damp and drizzly.
