Default Snow for the Alps
.... I don't know about the British Isles, but for those of you off
ski-ing anywhere in the central European Alps (including the north /
central Balkans) this Christmas / New Year, things are looking good
this week:-

complex low edging east across the Mediterranean - lots of humid/warm
air thrusting north against the cold feed ex: European Russia: might
be a bit too much fresh/loose snow for some.
