I think we will get the hordes coming up onto the moor on Sunday to
sledge in the powder after the fall on Saturday night.

The 06Z NAE has a tongue of +4 theta-w air ahead of the cold front on
Saturday night :-

you'll probably be ok (for snow) up in the mountains, Will, but it looks a
bit more dodgy for those at low levels in the southwest, i.e. it may well
be
a mix of rain, sleet and snow and less likely to accumulate.

Jon. (tropical east Devon)

Thanks Jon. I did say in my Dartmoor forecast that rain/sleet more likely
below 200m asl., with heavy snow above 300m asl. I did estimate wet-bulb
freezing levels to be around 400m asl so that would fit in with those
forecast theta-ws. A walk along the Hameldown ridge at 500m asl could well
be in order on Sunday, followed by some ale at the Warren House Inn to warm
up.

Ah, The Warren House Inn! What a refuge! You can come down from those
"mountains" (!) to fine welcome! *))
