Martin, I think what Evershot got was rain, about the same time as
you. The AWS registered 1.0mm, last tip at 03:08z. Certainly there's
what looks like snow on the ground, even on the road, but I suppose
it's frozen rain. Temp now -2.5C at 07:37z. Sky clear.

.... (0810Z): looked at Hurn SYNOPs and all they reported (automatic
sensors) was rain - I suppose if we'd stared long and hard in the
street-lamps then we might have seen something 'white', but my sense
was that is didn't do so.
Just looked around outside: paving/footpaths suddenly very icy - black
ice. Roads are a bit better but still problematic, as the rain has
washed away any treatment.
OAT now -1.3 and still dropping.
