Hello,

I'm a long time lurker of this group and I have finally got around to
posting.

I live in Basel in northwestern Switzerland. Yesterday (Saturday) was
bitterly cold with a daytime max -8 deg C, which made Xmas shopping
very interesting. Overnight min here just outside of the city was
-15 deg.

Currently about 5 cm of lying snow. Looking for forward to returning
to North Yorkshire for some milder weather over Xmas!
