2.4 deg C here, continuous moderate to heavy rain has turned to
sleet. Getting pretty dark now, the sort of gloom I remember from
years gone by during heavy snow.

I have the feeling that it this lot will be heavy snow further inland
of my essentially coastal location. I have to decide soon whether to
risk a drive to London with a bad back and the risk of problems
developing this afternoon on the high parts of the A3.

Decisions, decisions!
