Agreed ... here, high in the Chilterns, we've bumped along at
zero to minus 1 all night, with a F2-3 southerly breeze.

Freezing fog in St Albans this morning with a low of -4.8C overnight. Ver
valley very cold with thick rime on the trees and the car thermometer
showing -5C at 11:00; still some residual mist from the ovenight fog.

Interesting contrast between plateau and frost-hollow sites in
the Chilterns ... at 0200 the temperature was -0.2°C at
the Whipsnade Observatory, altitude 229m, and -12.3°C at
Chesham Tennis Club, altitude c.100m.
