Still a full cover this morning but now down to just 2cm. Much of this is

car park at 0345 this morning as I picked up young grandson and his mum at
the end of their epic journey from snowbound Edinburgh. (0945 takeoff

Everything but the kitchen sink here yesterday with rain snow and hail
showers am followed by some heavy rain showers pm+lights flickering but no
thunder heard. Sharp fall in temperature after the heaviest shower at 2100
led to everything freezing up again.Much milder today with temperature up to
a balmy +4.1 by midday.

Wouldn't mind a break before the next lot

A break of a year would be good. Thirty years? Even better!
My next-door neighbour agrees; he spent five hours driving home from
Leatherhead (15 miles) the other day. His young children think it's
all rather fun, as of course they should.
