Andrew Bond has now set up a web page explaining exactly how Metcheck makes its
predictions from NOAA information.

The reference on that page to the "Climate Predication Center" doesn't
inspire confidence. If they are so careless as to get that important
detail wrong and not notice, why should I believe that they can get a
weather forecast right? (I followed the link given for the CPC in order
to confirm that, as I suspected, it should be the "Climate Prediction
Center".)
