17 consecutive days with full snow cover in Wishaw Brian, I have a feeling
your deeper snow and more favourable location will see it hang on quite a
bit longer when a thaw gets underway mind you. This is now the longest full
snow cover in this area since January 1979 I believe.
Average air min for the last 11 days here is -7.0ºC. 24 days on the trot
with an airfrost. The longest such record I can find locally of run of
airfrosts was 29 days in Feb/March 1986. Seems certain to be broken looking
at forecasts.
