17 consecutive days with full snow cover in Wishaw Brian, I have a feeling
your deeper snow and more favourable location will see it hang on quite a
bit longer when a thaw gets underway mind you. This is now the longest
full snow cover in this area since January 1979 I believe.

This is becoming quite a winter in Scotland and parts of northern England!
As I said a few days ago this winter is going to be so memorable, even in
the south of England - in a few days time.

Average air min for the last 11 days here is -7.0ºC. 24 days on the trot
with an airfrost. The longest such record I can find locally of run of
airfrosts was 29 days in Feb/March 1986. Seems certain to be broken
looking at forecasts.

Thanks for all your reports, keep 'em comin, I'm envious of your conditions
but my turn will come, it always does.
