Just seen the eldest off to work with moderate snow and 1cm on all

Very pretty in the dark of an early January morning! Excited, or what!!

I am in Dorset! *I am watching for the 'development' of a low in the
south to pep things up somewhat

Nothing here (Evershot, WDorset) yet.

The MetO draw that low on the FAX charts Hugh and it is the proposed
one that was being talked about yesterday evening . The MetO are at 60%
+ that it will cause some problems in the south with their latest
warning. It needs watching for me as we are presently on the western
edge and getting to work tomorrow morning *could* be far more of a
problem than it has been in the snow shower this morning. I'm sure
there will be some significant and disruptive snowfall for some other
southern areas and perhaps for Devon. Depends on the exact positioning
now and the dynamics of that low. I hope this is a 24-hour chart which
does what it is saying on the screen, as there is the potential for
the heaviest snow on the south coast for years. For the record the FAX
shows the low centred over the Isle of Wight.
