I measured only the last hour of the rain event, from when the
satellite went off (forgot to empty my guage until then- oops!) and
that measured 12.3 mm. So looking at the radar images, I probably
had about 25 mm in all, in the two hours it was raining.
I asked my neighbour how much he measured - 19 mm in those 2 hours.

Indeed, here in Bracknell, the bulk of our 18.4mm came in just two
hours. For the 24hr rainfall total, it was the highest such rainfall
since November last year.
