Listening to the radio over this cold spell and especially the last

This is the result (and increase) of car thermometer (and the text).
What is interesting is the acceptance of accuracy too.

A little fog for us last night kept the lid on a very cold reading.
Min was -13.2 C air.

I am always a bit sceptical of the reading on my car thermometer -
never checked it against a known good temp sensor but seems to read a
couple of degrees C below reports in the area. It dipped to -14 on
Monday morning (about 0630) when the local paper said there was a
record low of -10.7, but then I was up in the hills so could have been
colder spots I guess.

Mine reads 0.5C too low. But it is consistent and very good and very useful.
