I agree, my 3 year old Scenic has the sensor recessed in a hole under
the offside mirror and as long as it's out of the sun, you just add
one to whatever it says.

I prefer that location to an under bonnet one, as it seems to be less
susceptible to engine heat when slow moving or stationary. They are
useful guides especially for people like us who know their
limitations.
