Carol Kirkwood seemed to play it down this morning at 07:20, we shall
see. She had the south as being 2c to 3c maximums Saturday & Sunday.

As they've sometimes mentioned in recent days, though, on the charts
they always show temperatures in the cities. I have the impression that
they might arrive at these by just adding 2-3C across the board, rather
than anything more subtle. (With winds so strong over the weekend, I
can't see cities actually being much warmer than rural areas.)

Ms Kirkwood did say that the snow was expected to be light, but that it
would "stick".

Why do they make her wrap up warm and go outside? It's just a
distraction.

Yes John and the way the two presenters were offering sypathy to poor old
Carol as if she had no choice but to bare the elements -what a load of old
toffee.
