Listening to the radio over this cold spell and especially the last
few days when temps have been the story have you noticed the increase
in temp reporting from viewers/listeners?

This is the result (and increase) of car thermometer (and the text).
What is interesting is the acceptance of accuracy too.

A little fog for us last night kept the lid on a very cold reading.
Min was -13.2 C air.

My thermometer (VW Touran) reads about 1 to 0.5C too low but i would
be sceptical of it any other time than when moving.

As you say, you need to be on the move, not stuck in traffic.

What is interesting are the variations, I'm getting to know all the
local frost hollows. Also, just how rapidly the temperature falls away
from the immediate sea front.
