Apparently Deal and Sandwich were 'virtually' cut off from the rest of the
county. Apparently the A256 and A258 over the downs from Dover were
impassable. What they don't mention is the fact that all roads worth and
west of the towns were just fine -- I drove them yesterday afternoon and
evening.
The article to focuses on one person's anecdote.
Perhaps 'Heavy snow temporarily closes A256 and A258 north of Dover'
rather than 'Heavy snow cuts off communities' would have been a more
accurate headline (perhaps journalism isn't my forte).
