The contrast between Wick and Aberdeen on the one hand, and Kinloss and
Lossiemouth on the other, is striking. They are all coastal stations and
not that far apart. The difference is that Kinloss and Lossiemouth are
on the south shore of the Moray Firth rather than adjoining the "open
sea".
