I've been surprised how cold it has stayed today here in Southend-on-Sea.
Most of the day has been dull with continuous light snow, nothing
settling. Most of the day the temp sat around 0.7°C, but now this evening
there seems to be breaks in the cloud and has dropped back to:
17:50
Temp -0.1°C, DP -1.9C
Wind ESE 1mph
1000.8mb steady.

Steady light snow most of the day in Epping, some heavier bursts early pm.
Seems to have stopped now. Maximum temperature +0.4º at 1310 but soon fell
back below freezing in the heavier snow and is now at -0.5º
Hardly a breath of wind - unless the anemometer has frozen up again.
This is so 1963
