This is a rather wonderful picture Bernard,thanks .Much detail of interest-cloud head
striations,convection ahead of the dry slot,gravity waves.The WV animations are striking as
well.It's clear there's descending anticyclonic air on the southern hook of the cloud head,tho I
can't find any sign of extreme winds (ie a 'Sting jet') in the available Quiksat pass.
This cyclonephase diagnostic is interesting,showing how the system develops a marginal warm core as
it 'bombs'-
