The glaciologist who exposed the erroneous statement that the Himalyan
glaciers would disappear by 2035 and has brought the house tumbling
about the ears of the IPCC, thinks that the whole matter is like
worrying about a mouse, while ignoring the elephant in the room. You

Cheers, Alastair.

But Alastair it wasn't the truth was it? Yet it was proclaimed to be the
definitive word on Glacial retreat! It was actually admitted to as being
used to increase political pressure.

It was not proclaimed as the definitive word on glacial retreat, any
more than is the melting of the snow cap on Mt Kilimanjaro. All the
world's glaciers are in retreat, apart from a few exceptions.
Lawrence, isn't that the truth?

By the way I have no connection with big oil although I did purchase some
sesame seed oil for the occasional*stir fry the other day.

I never thought you were paid by big oil, nor even that your thinking
is due to their propaganda. Very few people can bring themselves to
accept that if civilisation continues on its present course then there
will be disaster. You are obviously not one of them. That is clearly
illustrated by the way you clutch at the straw of a minor error in the
IPCC reports as justification of rejecting all their findings.

Cheers, Alastair.
