It's been an unimpressive easterly this week too Nick! The "giraffe
weather" (such an excellent name Will, makes me smile every time I see
it!) came and went without most noticing (min last night of -4.3 at
Katesbridge in N. Ireland.)

It went down to -5.9C at both Odiham and Farnborough last night, and,
not being a giraffe, I can assure you it felt it!

Apologies. Centres of cold! I was taking my brief from the MetO
"latest" figures. Perhaps something a little taller than a meercat in
those areas then!

Or perhaps this giraffe?

Actually that easterly wind did have a bite to it yesterday, with
daytime max around 2C. In a 'normal' winter you would have had Penny
Tranter bleating on about a bitterly cold day!
