You are quite wrong. The charter encourages discussion of
climate topics "from a scientific standpoint and not a political (or
environmental-activist) one." What's difficult about that?

But he has added 'OT' and 'AGW' so that those who wish
to do so may filter them out. This is accepted practice on
other groups and seems like a fair compromise.

That's what I thought Col, I could carry on as usual but I've now got the
big guns against me and if I don't toe the line I'll become the pariah of
the NG. It's not in my nature to be selective or measured with this topic
so I'll guess I'll have to go elsewhere.

I will say in my defence, that I've pulled a few legs , taken the mickey,
made umpteen spelling mistakes, talked rubbish, set out to make some
points and hopefully with a sense of fun and self deprecation. I've never
consciously set out to hurt any ones feelings and have only given a bit
of stick back after some had been thrown my way.

I do believe in climate change but not to the extent of the moaning
minnies who hate everything that humans have achieved and naively think
there was another choice.

Weather has been politicised and UKMO is the definitive proof of that as
its services have extended further into gobbledygook.

I can't cover up my irritation, anger and disbelief so to stay here would
just make it unpleasant. So after ten years its goodnight from me.

Lawrence, please, Philip is not a "big gun" - nobody is. It's a free country
and I for one enjoy your posts, far more than the cross-posting idiots with
fake e-mail addresses, and would you believe even share some of your views -
you have a much needed sense of humour. All people have to do is use the
killfile.
