Thanks for the heads up. We had a few short but moderate snow showers
last night between 1700 and 1900 that put down 5mm or so but it then
warmed up an melted. Overnight it has rained so wasn't expecting
snow... I'm off to Hull in an hour or two, maybe I should leave a
bit early and run down in front of it?
... someone better tell the met office to get a warning out. No warnings
covering this area this morning, and no warnings regarding snow for
anyone.
Give 'em a chance to get in and look at the overnight data. B-)
Flash Warnings in place now (0738) but only for Icy Roads in the top
half of Scotland and Heavy Rain in Wales or is that what you meant?
Advance Warning of Heavy Snow for NI and N.England for tommorow.
And of course, no gritters have been on the roads.
If you've had what we have had overnight it would have been a waste
of salt. It's rained at the best part of 2mm/hr since 2100 last
night, 17mm clicked up.
