Are there particular names (eg drizzle, heavy rain, etc) attached to rain
rates? I had a look in the FAQs, but there was only something about drizzle.
Is there a list somewhere with mm/hr against each?
Thanks for any help.
Hugh

Slight: Less than 2.0 mm/hr
Moderate: 2.0 to 10.0 mm/hr
Heavy: 10.0 to 50.0 mm/hr
Violent: More than 50 mm/hr
Intensities of snowfall, assuming that it is accumulating on the ground with no
melting, a
