Similar here last year, the maximum on the 5th Feb 2009 was only 1.2ºC, we
lowered that mark further just 2 days ago when the maximum was 1.1ºC. This
is the closest we've came in the intervening 14 years since the February
ice day.

I should also point out that March 5th, 2000 was closer still with a max of
only +0.2ºC. Even November 2008 managed one. But the February wait continues
for now.
