Probably a lot more at my height in your area (850 feet, not 6
feet!).

In a semi valley within the general Clyde valley Ken, can be both a bit of a
heat trap and a frost pocket, especially with lying snow. I guess during the
day we're more likely to be influenced by air from the coasts too - both
east and west coasts are less than 50 miles away with not particularly high
ground in between (central lowlands). But at night we can be detatched from
both. Slightly further up the valley, and 10 miles to my south east, the
village of Carstairs holds quite a few UK cold records over the years.
