Get a face full of snow on a gust of wind would perk me up and make me run
for cover.
Perhaps a perky shower is a shower that runs for cover? Or perhaps it is one
that falls upwards?
The village of Shotts, not so far from here and a little higher up, often
has rain and snow falling upwards.

"It's snowing up in Shotts"
"It's raining up in Shotts"
