Does anyone know if the major attractions open at that time of year?

TIA,

I really recommend the Rough Guide- I spent three days in Prague and
used that guide extensively finding superb little bars and restaurants
all over the place away from the centre. Obviously difficult re what
is open but in every respect the guide was exceedingly useful. It did
not prepare me for the stunning architecture.
If you are staying in a reasonable hotel they will probably be able to
assist in a significant way.
I got a week pass for the trams and really roared around-similarly in
Budapest and Krakow. The most memorable event for me was dinner at a
little restaurant on the far side of Prague ( Petrin Hills or
something like that) and here we had a really fantastic spread for
very little plus a pianist from the Prague (Conservatoire?) who was
simply fantastic. The other sobering visit was to the church were the
SOE agents ended up after the assassination of Heydrich
Sadly, IMHO, a lot of damage has been done by Brits going over there
to get ratted. In terms of weather I would take the thermals; a good
quality gortex and,of course, really good thermal head protection.
Footwear to match.
