Looking at the 06z 850hPa ensemble means for the next week I see London is
averaging about +3C and Aberdeen -8C. Intermediate cities seem to show a
proportional transition. Quite a difference which may explain the News 24
forecast saying *further spells of snow for the next week. Certainly no
southern bias there I wouldn't have thought, with rain and a wet week for
the South .

The divide was clearly shown on the Countrytracks/file forecast.

Remember the idea of putting a pin to the Bartlett high? Can anyone
suggest a similar thing to push the tracks of lows 100 or 200 miles
further south? ;-)
