Looking at the 06z 850hPa ensemble means for the next week I see London is
averaging about +3C and Aberdeen -8C. Intermediate cities seem to show a
proportional transition. Quite a difference which may explain the News 24
forecast saying further spells of snow for the next week. Certainly no
southern bias there I wouldn't have thought, with rain and a wet week for
the South .

The models would suggest it's going to be a particularly snowy week in the
central lowlands. Given they have the track of the lows forecast correctly
that will probably be true. We shall see.
